Snow is delicious!

Yesterday ... it was again raining and Mom didn't take me for my second walk, which she usually does at night.
So, it seemed another day for which I had no story to tell you.
I napped and was having a dream of eating a huge birthday cake all at once.
A HUGE CAKE ... but I wouldn't give even a bite to Mom ...
Zzz ...

But ...

Suddenly, Papa called me and Mom from downstairs and Mom's face changed to a big smile.
I wondered what had happened.
We went to downstairs (by elevator, of course).
Mom took me out to my small back yard.
I first thought that Mom had given me a huge cake, since it was just like my birthday cake ... trees, the ground, wood chips, everything had a white topping!
Was I still dreaming, I wondered.
But I was not dreaming.
I was so surprised and I actually was at a loss for words, I froze (good joke, right?) for a while.
It was amazing ... Mom told me that it is called snow!
Do you know what snow looks like?
This is it!
... Well, since I stepped on it, wood chips came up, but at the beginning it was all white, it is true!

These two shots might show it a bit better.

Mom didn't take any good pictures, since she played too much and was too excited.

Mom made me a snowball and I tasted it.
It tasted very good, but the problem with a snowball is that you have to eat quickly. Otherwise it disappears for some reason.
I asked Mom to make me a lot of snowballs, and I ate a lot.
The kitchen counter for making snowballs was the top of the outside unit of an air conditioner.

What is snow?
Well, if I have tell you in one word ... it is food.

I'll upload a movie that shows me playing with snow after I ate a lot of snow balls.
You can see how Mom was mean to me.
I wanted to run not only in my tiny space outside but also in our bedroom, but she shut the door so I couldn't get in ... she said "No, you have too much snow on you!"
What does that mean?

She tried to wipe me with some towels but I finally escaped and got on my bed.
I'm dry enough, right?
Mom, don't mad at me ...

  1. Bobby Lee, your snow video is great. I'm glad you got to play in it and taste it. I don't think that I have seen snow yet. It looks like much more fun than rain. I'm going to send a photo of me in my raincoat.

    Don't freeze!

  2. Jimmy, you are lucky buy since you can have walks even with rain.
Mom and Papa are too lazy, I think.
Jimmy, if you have a chance to have snow, you should eat a lot of snowballs, but be careful.
I hid some snowballs in my treasure place in the back yard, but all disappeared ... I think someone stole them.
So, I don't recommend to hide them, just eat when you got from DMF.
I liked your raincoat very much!
    Thank you very much!

  3. Hello Bobby Lee,
We watched the movie of you in the snow -- your first time ever! I think you were very excited -- especially because you thought it was a gigantic birthday cake.
We rarely get snow in Berkeley but today we have dense fog. It's quite beautiful. We can't even see the neighbors' houses.

    Have a very good day.

  4. After I found out that snow was not cake, I was actually a bit disappointed, but I still like snow.
    It is very funny food!
I've never seen dense in Tokyo ... Is it delicious?
