Boasting about my birthday!

I showed you my cake, right?
Do you want to see it again?
OK!
Here! Actually I'm in the picture too. (And my name is Bobby  not BOOBY!)

Mom and Papa were having a busy working day on Jan. 16 — my birthday.
So I worried a lot.
But in the evening, Kimi-san visited me with the birthday cake.
Not only that, Kimi-san gave me a long walk to Arisugawa Park, which I love.
I walked with Kimi-san and Mom.
And when I came back home,
I had a wonderful birthday ceremony  my first!

The three of them sang Happy Birthday to me and my cake even had a candle!
And in the middle of the room!
I love Kimi-san.

Although I had to wait until they finished singing (it was really hard for me in front of the cake!), I felt their LOVE. (Although Papa's singing is...well, it's over now.)
I also got a birthday card from Auntie Tokko and congratulations from my older brother Jimmy and Auntie Debbie too.

If you have time, please also take a look at the movie of my excellent manners when eating cake.
Unfortunately, Mom cut the cake in half, though it was still big!

You know, all adults need to have a cup of coffee after cake.
I thought that I had the right to have coffee too.
So I drank it boldly.
And Mom got mad at me even though it was my first birthday!
I had to apologize. (Japanese style bowing)

But Mom always forgives me when I give her this look.
Then I had a wonderful nap on her lap at the end of my birthday!
I AM A HAPPY DOG

From my diary of January 16.
Good night!

You are such a lucky dog! I envy you -- your cake was over the top. And your manners were very impressive.
Your Mom and Pop look so happy.

No one really knows what happened when I turned one year old. I think my next birthday I'm going to be 4. I hope they remember.
Much love to my little (but bigger) brother.
